I thought they were improving and going back to a competitive scale when Speedstorm first released with them giving us gimmicks, but later they decided to cheap out and remove the gimmicks altogether.

Pro Series and TT are not aimed towards older demographics. Kids aren't buying Pro Series and TT because it's either too expensive or they can't wait for shipping. It's not because American children want to buy lightweight Beys - given the choice, of course they would want Pro Series or Takara Tomy over regular Hasbro. The only reason why American children buy the product is because it's the only thing easily available in-stores. Pro Series and mainline have always been advertised as being aimed towards 8+ children. Barbie dolls, Bakugan, and Transformers especially, being a Hasbro brand, is properly priced for the quality they're delivering.
